Travis Filing

Travis grew up in Cleveland Ohio and has lived all over this nation, but in 1998, he chose to call Lincoln his home. Leaving a career in aviation, he moved here and began working in broadcasting at 92.9 The Eagle from 1998 to 2000. That year he shifted to Broadcast House and was there until 2007. In 2002 he helped his wife Shannon start Transformation Marketing and left broadcasting to join her full time at the firm. Since then, Travis and Shannon have built a real estate company as well as The Cabin- A Private Virtual Golf Club which they operate today.

His entrepreneurial spirit is a testament to his commitment to the local business community. Travis also features experience in the political area, serving as the village chairman and mayor of Panama, NE. Travis’s roles as a public servant and business owner, along with his personal ties to eastern Nebraska, illustrate his deep investment to Lincoln and the business community.

Gary Tharnish

Born and raised in the heart of Lincoln, I have seen it grow from a small city to the big little city it is today. ‘Big little’ because although constantly growing, it maintains the friendliness small towns are so famous for.

I love Lincoln, I’ll repeat that, I love Lincoln. I have been active in the Lincoln community all of my life. From youth sports to UNL Marching band, opened my first business at the age of 24 and owned that business for 36 years. People are at the heart of everything I do. I’ve had the privilege of employing dedicated and hardworking individuals, many who have become lifelong friends.

I enjoy being an active member of the community, helping non-profits, engaging with elected officials, and especially helping entrepreneurs. At the heart of every healthy, safe and growing city is one’s personal service to others. My father was my example of putting others before self. I am so glad he showed me at a young age the importance of just that through his devotion to supporting family, friends and neighbors.

I believe you have two choices with every situation that comes your way, whether good or challenging, you respond either as a victim or player. I choose a player.

Let’s make Lincoln the best city in America.
